About Us

“Ask anyone about kitchen and bath remodeling in the tri-county area and there’s a good chance they’ll know about the quality of our company’s work,” says Joe Waksmacki, President. Joe has more than 50 years of experience in this industry and works diligently to ensure that their craftsmanship meets—and exceeds—the highest standards. Joe’s son, Scott Waksmacki, is multitalented in project design and engineering. Joe’s daughter, Dawn Maggio, rounds out the family trio and is licensed in Interior Design and General Contracting.

The friendly and accommodating sales staff at Broward Custom Kitchens, Inc. can handle any phase of a home remodeling project. They are also knowledgeable in current design trends in all areas of remodeling as well as new construction. This insures that clients are aware of all the latest options in creating their new space.

Dawn Maggio has worked as part of this team since 1986.  She earned her degree in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and completed her General Contractor requirements in 1990 to earn her the licenses of Certified General Contractor and Licensed Interior Designer.  She is also a certified wind mitigation inspector and has been certified her firm as a licensed contractor by the EPA.

Her hobbies include cooking and baking, scrapbooking, boating and volunteering with the girl scouts.

Joe Waksmacki is the cornerstone of not only this business but also the entire South Florida market.  He started his cabinetry business in 1961 in Chicago after earning his journeyman’s license. After 15 years with a thriving business in downtown Chicago, he moved to South Florida in 1980.  Broward Custom Kitchens, Inc. was born and has since brought outstanding cabinetry to thousands of homes. He thrives on the constant change of this business and keeps in tune with that change to ensure that his business continues to grow.

His hobbies include saltwater fishing, boating and his grandkids.

Scott Waksmacki has worked as part of this team since 1984.  Rather than seeing problems in this business, he sees challenges and searches out unique and viable solutions for his clients.  He has earned his certification in Corian Fabrication by DuPont as well as abundant recognition for his work in design.

His hobbies include custom car and boat building, fishing and boating.

Irene Bragg first entered the kitchen and bath design business in 1978. Once she started in this field, she never wanted to do anything else. She has worked in her hometown, Connecticut, as well as New York, before moving to Florida in 1992.  Although this business is often challenging, it is her passion. She takes great pride in turning a client's project from problematic to functional and beautiful.

Her hobbies include cooking, power walking and golf.
